After Coldplay, on July 20, a world-famous artist, the English singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran (1991), filled the Puskás Arena in Budapest with his fans. The name of the four-time Grammy Award-winning singer naturally attracted many fans from neighboring countries to the Arena, in addition to Hungarian fans. Ed visited Budapest not for the first time, 5 years ago at the Sziget Festival, 3 years ago as an MTV EMA award winner, he took the stage at the Papp László Budapest Sportarena for a few songs, and on Saturday he came to Hungary as part of his tour entitled “+ – = ÷ x” – read the Index on the side. On the circular stage, first Zséda and then Calum Scott, who became known thanks to Britain’s Got Talent, entertained the audience. During Ed’s performance, of course, his biggest hits were also performed, such as Perfect, Thinking Out Loud, Shape of You, Castle On The Hill, Eyed Closed and Bad Habits, in addition to the duet with Calum, You Are the Reason- was also a great success. And although according to the participants, the sound system of the Arena was not perfect, it did not detract from the positive experience provided by the concert, which was compensated by the singers’ voice, musical and human greatness, as well as the concert’s spectacular show elements and pyrotechnics. Calum and Ed addressed the audience several times in Hungarian, which was always greeted with cheers. Honoring his Hungarian fans, Sheeran came on stage in a t-shirt with the inscription Budapest, and later in a Hungarian jersey, which was also a nice gesture on his part.
